What was the highlight of your high school football career?
Making history and winning the first round playoff game, also hosting the second round playoff game at home.
Also setting the school record of all-time career leader in receiving touchdowns and all-time career leader in receiving yards.
What was the lowest moment of your high school football career?
Losing to our rivals all 4 years.
Which win meant the most?
The first-round playoff game against Nelsonville on the road.
Which loss hurt the worst?
The second-round playoff game that ended our season.
What was the biggest lesson that you have learned playing sports?
You have to be a team player; you can't go out and win by yourself; communication and awareness of others is key.
Who was the best team you faced, along with the thing that made them so good?
I would say the Barnesville Shamrocks. They could run the ball, throw the ball, and pretty much anything they set out to do! They read each other well as a team.
Can you name one or two of the best players that you have faced in a game along with the teams they played on?
One player that stands out would be Rashid Sesay (West Muskingum).
Now that high school football is over, what, if anything, do you wish you would have done differently?
I wish that I had put more work in.
What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Union Local football team?
The feelings I had walking off the field for the last time were mixed, sad knowing it was my last time but also happy because I feel I did my best and put in all my effort.
If you receive an invite to play in any of the all-star games, will you? Explain
I would definitely accept an invite to play in an all-star game because it may be the last game of football I ever play.
What have been the best and worst parts of the recruiting process?
The best part would have to be talking to different coaches and seeing other schools; the worst, I would say, is not getting responses from coaches I have reached out to and the distance of some schools.
Would you name some of the schools that are recruiting you?
Mount St Joseph
Rio Grande
Bethany
Heidelberg
What are your goals for the 2024-2025 basketball season?
To make it to the OVAC championship game again, also have more wins than losses on the season.
Of the two sports, basketball and football, which one are you better at?
I would say I'm pretty decent at both sports, but my heart is with football.
What has been your biggest moment on the court?
My first in-game dunk against Harrison Central.
Who are your role models?
My coaches along the way, my mom and my grandma.
What is your favorite class or subject?
Spanish
Dystopian Studies
What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
Steak and fries
