What were your feelings as you walked off the field for the last time as a member of the Barnsville football team?

   I was disappointed all of our work didn’t pay off.

What will you miss the most from playing high school football?
  
 The bond with my coaches and friends

What was the biggest moment of your high school football career?
    
Making it to the third round of playoffs 

What was the most disappointing moment of your high school football career? 
 
  Losing to the same team in the playoffs multiple times 

Who was the best player that you faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

   Wyatt Reiman, Shadyside 

Who was the best team that you faced, along with the thing that made them so good?

   Wheelersburg, they were the most physical team I’ve ever played 

What game will you remember the most from the 2024 season?

Beating our rival union local 55-14

What do you feel that you improved on the most this season?

Strength

What made you a good teammate? 

  I made sure my guys were locked in and ready to go.

Which road stadium this season was the worse or toughest to play in? 

Fort Frye, because before this year we hadn’t beaten them in years 

What is the best and worst part of the recruiting process?

   The best part is getting to know coaches; the worst part is coaches not looking into high school players because of the transfer portal.

Could you name some of the schools that are recruiting you?

Wheeling and Bluffton are my only offers so far; others are in the works.

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you?

All-Star Game nominees haven’t come out, but if I’m selected, I will be playing.

Baseball or football: which one do you believe you are better at?

I believe I am a better football player.

What is your go-to snack?

Jerky

Landman

  Braylon Sturgill Ironton High School LB/FB 2025 What were your goals entering the 2023 season, and were you able to achieve those goals? Our goal every year is simple: win a state championship. We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
