What has been the most difficult thing that you have had to overcome as an athlete?

Just everyone always doubts us just because of the name West High School, but we finna change that, don’t worry.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Columbus West High School?

The culture of the school and hearing all the old stories about the West are legendary.

What is the most difficult part of being a student-athlete?

Keep your grades on point and be respectful to the teachers, because they don’t play about any type of attitude in class.

What is the toughest part of practice?

Conditioning and a 2-minute drill

Who is the one teammate who is most likely to do something funny to get a laugh when things are a little tense?

Jahmere Johnson

How long have you played football, and who or what got you started?

I’ve been playing football my whole life, and who got me started was my uncle Rayshawn. He said you were going to play football since I was 3 years old.

What will the West Cowboys have to do to have a better season than you did in 2023?

Executing games and being committed

What do you feel is the strongest part of your game?

My leadership and my intensity

Which part of your game must you improve on in order to be a better player this season?

Run blocking plus making the play when we need it

What is the best part of playing on the offensive line?

Helping my quarterback like always and pancaking for sure

After the season is over, if you are invited to play in any of the all-star games, will you?

Yes, I would play in all

What is your game-day routine?

Eat, listen to music, then pray.

What is your go-to snack?

Fruit snacks

What is your favorite class or subject?

Math

We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
