How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

For about 12 years, and I still play because I love this sport.

What makes being a student-athlete at Cathedral High School special?

While the athletics are high, the academics are just as high, so being able to manage both is a big accomplishment that I don't take lightly.

What is the toughest part of being a student-athlete?

Not procrastinating and staying on top of work.

What are your goals for the 2024 season?

To rack up 5+ ints. this season

Which sport—basketball or football—are you hoping to play in college?

Football

What is your favorite part of practice?

Team period or 1on1’s

What is the toughest part of practice?

Persuit drill

Who is the most talented player that you have ever played with?

I really can't say I played with a lot of talented players.

Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game?

I would say Corey Smith from Brownsburg.

What is the strongest part of your game?

I would say my technique and coverage.

After the season is over, how important is it to you to have earned an invite to the North vs. South game?

I would love to be invited to the game.

What is your go-to snack?

I would say either zebra cakes or honey buns.

Who is your favorite athlete?

I would have to say Bo Jackson because he played almost every sport.

Have you ever gone to a Pacers game?

Yes, it's been a while, though.

We had maybe 15 kids on the roster in preseason sometime in late June. We ended up with probably 6 starters who had never played football in their lives, which isn’t exactly a recipe for success! In 2023, we won an overtime thriller against DuBois Area 14–13, avenging a 1-point loss at the 1-yard line the year prior.

  Braylon Sturgill Ironton High School LB/FB 2025 What were your goals entering the 2023 season, and were you able to achieve those goals? Our goal every year is simple: win a state championship. We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
