How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I have played football since 5th grade, when tackle football started. The reason I keep playing is because of the love I have for the game and how many life lessons you learn as you play that you can apply to your day-to-day life.

Who or what got you started in football?

What got me into football was watching Ohio State and my dad signing me up after I said, “Baseball doesn’t hit, and I want to hit.”

What was the high point of the 2023 season?

The most memorable moment of the 2023 season was beating McKinley. Nothing has compared to beating them. 

What is the best part of playing on the offensive line?

The best part about playing O Line is scoring. Especially when you score off of a run play because you know you made that hole for the running back to hit.

Where on the O-line do you believe you are best fitted to play?

Center

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Glenoak High School?

Playing at the D1 level and playing in the D1 competition. The federal league. Being so close to the hall of fame. And most importantly, playing at Bob Commings Stadium.

What has been your biggest moment as an athlete?

My biggest moment as an athlete has to be when I started my first game last year. Having to step up and fill the shoes of our injured starting center was hard, but I did it because I knew people were counting on me.

Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game, and which team did he play on?

The best player I’ve faced in a game is Mike Wright Jr. (Big Mike). He plays for the Massillon Tigers.

What is the toughest part of two-a-days?

The toughest part of two days is how hot they can get. As a lineman, you have to squirt some water in the cleats to keep the feet cool. 

Who is the toughest teammate to square against in practice?

The toughest teammate to square against in practice would be David Potter. He’s so small and shifty, it’s hard to block him. He’s also a very physical and technical kid. Hard hitter!

Which type of weather is the best for you as a lineman to play in?

The best weather is a clear game because, as a center, rainy games are hard because of how slippery the ball gets when you try to snap it to the QB.

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games after the season, will you?

1000% Yes. It would be an honor to play in the all-star game.

If you are hearing from any colleges, could you name one or two for everyone?

Right now, I’m not hearing from any colleges, but I would love for some to get in contact!

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite class I’ve taken so far is anatomy and physiology. Learning about the body and how it works is very interesting.

What is one food that you like that most others do not?

I would have to say calamari. People like to dis it because it’s squid, but it’s so good.
