How long have you played football, along with the reason or reasons you continue to play?

I’ve been playing since I was 4 or 5. I continue to play because I love the sport and everything that comes along with it.

Can you tell the readers how tough it is to be a three-sport athlete?

It can be tough being a three-sport athlete because of having to adapt to the new seasons and also all the work, but if you love what you’re doing, it’s not so bad.

What is the best part of being a three-sport athlete?

You never get bored; there is always something you can be working on to get better.

Basketball and track: how long have you played each sport, and do you plan to play them all during your high school career?

Basketball since I was very young, and track, which I just started in 7th grade. I plan to continue with track and football, but I am probably leaving basketball behind to try out powerlifting.

I see you have been working hard in the weightroom. Could you share with the readers some of the numbers you are throwing up?

My PR on the bench is 330, my squat is 495, and my deadlift is 455.

What do you believe is the strongest part of your football game?

I just play really hard. I don’t always do the right things, but I always try to find a way to make a play.

You personally had a good season last year, with 102 tackles. What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?

I just want my team to get a gold ball and make it to week 14 because our school hasn’t made it that far in a long time.

Zane Trace went 8-4 last season overall. What will it take this year to win the goal ball and have a deep playoff run?

We have to trust our big guys to get the plays developed, and we just have to play hard.

Would you rather open the season with your rival or end the season with them? Explain

I would rather end the season with our rival team, because at the end of the year, both teams have been primed up and are at their best, so it would be a dog fight no matter what.

Which league game are you looking forward to the most, along with the reason?

Obviously, the rival is Unioto. No matter what, that game is always fun with all the hype leading up to the game, and the environment is always amazing.

Who is the one teammate who is most likely to do something to get a laugh when things are a little tough?

Peyton Dotson. He can be serious when he needs to be, but he can always lighten the tension when it’s there too.

What is your game-day routine?

I always make sure I get plenty of sleep, lots of good food, and electrolytes before the game. When it comes to game time, I always watch a little bit more film before the game, which my dad will always text me about when he sees things that the other team is doing that I could take advantage of.

What is your favorite type of music?

I don’t really have a favorite; I’ll listen to anything. With that being said, I’m always down for some Zach Bryan.

If you drink energy drinks, which one is your favorite?

I like to drink the C4’s before a workout.

Who are your role models?

I’m a Browns fan, so I always love watching Nick Chubb and Myles Garrett.
