What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Connor High School?

The best part about being a student-athlete at Conner is my teachers, Classmates,Teammates and coaches are all there at the same time. We all put work in, but at the same time, we can have fun. 

What is the toughest part of being a student-athlete?

The toughest part is while the season is going on, you have to find a balance between school and playing football. 

What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?

My personal goals for the 2024 season is to get 1 percent better every day, no matter where I improve. Another goal of mine is to improve my craft as much as I am able to. 
 
What goals are you setting for the team?

The big goal I am setting is I want to play at Kroger Field at the end of the season. But for us to get there we have to improve as a team every week so we can be there when December comes. 

Defensive tackle or defensive end. Which of the two do you feel you are best at?

Defensive tackle

Defensive tackle or defensive end. Which one is the hardest to play?

Defensive tackle If you are going up against a good group of interior linemen, it can make it very hard to make plays against. 

Who is the toughest teammate to face in practice?

Dylan Stewart

Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played on?

In game for sure, Aba Selm he played for Simon Kenton. 

Would you start the season or end the season against your rival? Explain

At the end of the year, that is when everyone is at their best. 

What got you started playing football?

Watching NFL and college football play on TV. 

What is the strongest part of your game?

The strongest part of my game is getting off blocks and reading the play. Also being able to be coachable. 

What part of your game must you improve to be a better player?

Getting off the ball quicker and staying low. If I can get off the ball quicker, then it will make me a way better player. 

What toppings go on your pizza?

Definitely pepperoni and sausage, sometimes bacon as well. 

Have you ever gone to a Florence Y'alls baseball game?

Yes, I have. It is a very good experience, and I would recommend it. 

Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?

Other than sports, I like to spend time with my family. I also love to go fishing and hunting when I am able to.

Semi Pro: Columbus Fire 8 Port City Spartans 0 (Game called in the third because of fighting)

  Yesterday I drove to Portsmouth and met up with my friend Bill Norman after dinner at The Portsmouth Brewing Company before driving over to Spartan Stadium to watch the semi-pro football game and watch the Port City Spartans host the Columbus Fire. I have been to over 1,500 football games, or close to that amount, and I can say none of them prepared me for what I ended up seeing. The stadium had one set of lights that did not work at all that I had seen before (Jackson State University). One pole had a light missing, and another pole had one single light that did not work at all on the visitor's side, making the field dark. I saw a fan on the Spartans side of the field standing with the players vaping, and I saw a player setting on the bench for most of the game also vaping. The game itself was stopped once when the refs walked off the field for what one player on the Spartans said was because a Columbus player said something about going after the ref with a gun. Two times first team all MSL, two times first team all district, two times honorable mention all Ohio What were the high and low points of the 2023 season? I’d say a high point would be doubling our wins from the 2022 season. Some low points would be losing three close games that would’ve given us a higher seed in tournament play and not being able to win a playoff game. What are your personal goals for the 2024 season? 1,500 rushing yards and 1,000 passing yards, 25 rushing touchdowns, and 15 passing touchdowns.
