Elijah Lewis

Aiken New Tech High School

Wide receiver, safety

2025

5’11, 150

What are your goals for the 2024 season?

I want to leave my school with records set and multiple division 1 offers.

What is the strongest part of your game?

The ability to understand what is going on. If the defense is lined up in Cover 3, I’ll know exactly where I should run my route.

Could you share with everyone any camps you have attended, along with the most important things you are learning?

Thomas More, Miami, OH, KSU, MSJ. The most important thing that I am learning is that there will always be people willing to compete, so you have to outwork everyone who comes your way.

What is the toughest part of practice?

Trying to focus on the job at hand. If I’m conditioning, I find it hard to push through and finish. Instead of saying I can do this, I think there are “only 2 left." That’s something that I really need to work on.

What is the worst type of weather to play in?
To me, it doesn’t really matter as long as you’re dressed according to the weather.

Who is the toughest player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

I don’t really know anyone from other teams. I try to focus on the game and making plays, regardless of the person I’m going head-to-head with.

Grass or turf?

Grass because it’s easier to change levels when running on

What is the toughest part of being a wide receiver?

Not being in my head when it’s time to make a play.

Where should the state finals be held?
Ohio State🥇

If you are invited to play in any of the all-star games after the season, will you?

Yes

What has been your biggest moment on the football field?

Catching the game-winning touchdown in our first game of the year

What is your go-to snack?

Fruits.

Have you ever been to a Bearcats football game?

No

Outside of sports, what do you do for fun?

I spend time with my family, or I go and play basketball or football with my friends. If I’m not doing that, then I’m working in a field to get better.
