What will you remember the most from the 2023 season?

Winning the GCL title in The Pit (Elder’s Stadium) again with the team.

What are your goals for the 2024 season?

My goals for the 2024 season are to be a captain on the team, lead the team in receiving yards and blocking pancakes, and win a state championship.

What is the best part of being a tight end?

The best part of being a tight end is that I get to do everything on the field. At the tight end position, I get to go out and catch touchdowns over defenders, block in the open field and in the box, and be used for many other different jobs.

What is the toughest part of being a tight end?

The toughest part of being a tight end is also the best part because we get to do everything, but it takes a lot to be able to do it well and at a high level. Also, remembering the plays just like a QB can be difficult, but you can’t be great without difficulty.

With you having six D-1 offers so far (congrats on that, by the way), what keeps you motivated to improve your game? 

The people who are closest to me keep me motivated because I really want to do it for them because success can be one thing when you do it by yourself, but when you do it with and for other people, it just means more.

Would you let the readers know of the schools that have offered?

Kentucky, Massachusetts, Kent State, Toledo, Miami, and Central Michigan.

Who is the one teammate who will do something to get a laugh when things are a little tight?

Jonah Hayes

What has been your biggest moment as an athlete, in any sport, at any age?

The biggest moment as an athlete at any age would be in the 6th grade when our All Saints basketball team came back and won a city championship game against our rivals despite being down 24 points at halftime. Or when I led the freshman team in touchdowns and receiving yards.

Who is the toughest player you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

Loghan Thomas, St. Edward’s.

What is the toughest part of practice?

We are going against the first defense in the inside run because they are the best defense we will ever go against.

Where should the state finals be held?

Ohio State Stadium.

This is a tough question that I have asked coaches and players from both private and public schools. Do you think that private schools have an advantage over public schools?

No, because public schools are more likely to have a larger number of kids and can produce more than private schools, which will only take a certain amount for multiple reasons.

Who is your favorite athlete?

George Kittle.

Have you ever watched the show All American?

No 

What is your favorite sports movie?

Remember the Titans?
