How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I’ve played for eight years, and I continue to play because of the friends I’ve made along the way and my love for the sport.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Prestonsburg High School?

The atmosphere at the school is outstanding. This football team really feels like a brotherhood. Coming to school on Monday after a huge win is the best feeling.

Who is the best player that you have ever faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

Aden Barnett, Magoffin County

Who is the toughest teammate to face in practice?

There's no doubt about Dalton Elliot; he’s very shifty, and he just has that dawg in him.

What is the toughest part of practice?

Working out, then going straight into conditioning.

What were the highs and lows of the 2023 season?

We started out strong; it really felt like a brotherhood. Through the middle, we started blaming each other and started to fall apart as a team.

What does your coach do at practice when someone messes up?

Corrects them right away and really breaks it down for them to make sure they understand it.

What has been your biggest moment as a football player?

The development of mental toughness: if you’re not tough mentally, you can’t play the sport.

What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?

There’s been many, but my most embarrassing moment was during basketball when I was in 7th grade, when I scored on the wrong goal.

Which game are you looking most forward to this season?

All of them, to be honest, one game at a time.

What is one thing that you like to do but might never have the chance to do?

Go deer hunting in Montana.

What is the strongest part of your game?
My IQ

Outside of sports, what do you do for fun?

Spend time with my friends, fish, and play pickup.

Tom Brady

We fell short last season, but we are coming back stronger. My personal goals were to be a full-time starter and contribute to my team's success.
