What was the biggest thing you learned about yourself last season that you can use to be a better player this season?

The biggest thing I learned about myself from last season was how hard of a worker I really am. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into everything I do, and I love every second of it. Last season was my first time ever playing football as a sophomore, and I started on Varsity and had a great first year of ever playing football, and I can’t wait to continue to play this game.

What are your goals for the 2024 season?

My goals for the 2024 season are: keep improving and learning the game; become so confident in myself; outwork everyone; and continue to get better and enjoy the game. Also a pick 6, haha.

Football, Track, and Basketball: How long have you played each sport?

I’ve played basketball since I was in the 2nd grade.

I’ve run track since the 7th grade.

I’ve played football since 10th grade, with last year being my first time ever playing, and I ended up being great at the sport and will continue to get better.

Of the three sports you play, which one do you feel you are best at?

Of the 3 sports I play, it’s pretty hard because track is something I’ve been really successful at with hurdles, but I feel like football is what I am the best at.

Which of the three sports is the toughest to prepare for? Explain

Football is the toughest to prepare for. Because of how hard it can get and how mentally challenging it can be, I enjoy every second of it and love the work.

Any sport, any age—what has been your biggest moment so far?

My biggest moment so far in sports was during a football game against Wilmington last season. I got a fumble recovery and a touchdown in the same play and won Player of the Game that game.

Any sport, any age—what has been your biggest embarrassing moment?

My most embarrassing moment was probably falling over hurdles at the district track meet my freshman year. But hey, it happens to everyone.

What camps are you attending for football?

I will be attending Tiffin University Prospect Camp on June 22nd, Thomas More University Prospect Camp on July 12th, and Miami (OH) University. July 26th. I am super excited to go out to these!

What have you been doing during the off-season to improve your football game?

I have been working on getting bigger, faster, stronger, and leveling up my game. With lifting and meal prep, try to get stronger and bigger.

What is the toughest part of a Western Brown practice?

The toughest part of our practices is definitely the weight room. Our coaches push us to be the best, and every day we are pushing ourselves as hard as we can in the weight room to get ready to have a great season.

Who is the toughest teammate to face in practice?

The toughest teammate to face in practice is probably Lamar Hall. He is a tough person to go against in defensive drills. Especially tackling and hitting, but we push each other to be great every day at practice.

Where should the state finals be held?

I think the State Finals should stay in the same place they're in. It’s a great place to have the state championship, for sure.

What toppings go on your pizza?

I love anything on my pizza. I definitely love a meat-loving pizza, though.

Who is your favorite athlete?

My favorite athlete has to be Kobe Bryant because of his mamba mentality. He has taught me so much about having an amazing and hard work ethic and has changed my life in that aspect.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite class has to be science. I have always loved science since I was a little kid.
