What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Tecumseh High School?
The best part about being a student athlete here is the number of teachers that support our team and come to the games, especially football.
What is the hardest part of being a high school student athlete?
The hardest part about being a student athlete is planning time to throw with your receivers, along with trying to balance grades and lifting.
What are you looking forward to the most this coming season?
I am really excited about our new head coach. We are getting some new coaches who have a different perspective, and I am very excited to see where that will lead us.
What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?
My personal goals this season are to start chipping away at the passing yards record and make a name for myself, along with gaining some college attention.
What is the best part of being the quarterback?
The best part about being a quarterback is that you can always get better and improve. That is what I love about this position.
What is the toughest part of playing quarterback?
The toughest part about being a quarterback is being a leader. As a QB, you have to set an example and help keep everyone on the same page.
What type of defense is the toughest for you to face as the quarterback?
I mean, it just depends. If I need to scramble that game, then I definitely don’t want to go against anything unless it’s a 3-4, but passing is definitely anything in man coverage; you have to place that ball just right.
What are you doing during the off-season to make you a better player?
So far, I have been working in the school weight room, trying my best to be a leader. I have also been working with a trainer in Springfield and with some higher-level QBs and WRs. I am also part of Vargo Training in Tipp City.
What is the strongest part of your game?
I think the strongest part of my game is my ability to scramble along with my throwing velocity. In our new offense, we have a lot of quick passing schemes, and I think that will definitely come in handy.
What, in your opinion, must change at Tecumseh High School to turn things around?
I think we have to get more players out. We are the biggest school in our conference, but we only have 30 players. We would also benefit from a more positive atmosphere and attitude, which we all can play a part in.
What is your favorite part of practice?
I loved playing on the scout team last year; whenever we played against a more athletic QB, I would get more reps, and it always felt good to score against the varsity.
What is the toughest part of practice?
The toughest part about practice was imitating the other team’s QB. I would watch films after practice and in the study hall to mimic the tendencies and rhythm of the other team’s play caller.
Where is the best local spot to grab a game?
I always enjoy going to bdubs in Springfield or having some buddies over at my own house to watch the buckeyes.
Have you ever been to a Dayton Dragons game?
I have been multiple times. I am not a really big baseball guy, but I like going with friends.
What is a talent that you have that would shock others?
One thing that not a lot of people know about me is that I can play the guitar. I wouldn’t call it a talent since I have only been playing for a few years, but that really is a big hobby of mine in the off-season.
