What is the best part about being a student athlete at Calloway County?

I would say the best part about being a student athlete at Calloway is the culture and the helpfulness of the teachers.

What is the toughest part about being a high school student athlete?

I would say the toughest part, by far, is keeping everything intact. It's hard at times to keep up with grades and know your playbook at the same time.

What are your personal goals for the 2024 season?

I would say my main goal is to get a winning record this year and just evolve as a football player all together.

Which road game are you most looking forward to?

I would say I am most looking forward to playing Paducah; their level of game play and competition is unmatched, and if I can make some good plays on their d-line, then that would get my name and game out there for sure.

What was your biggest moment as an athlete?

My biggest moment of my athletic career was when I was called up to start the last 3 games of varsity my freshman year because I was able to play alongside my brother Price Aycock for the
First and last time because he has been a senior since his 5th grade year.

What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?

I would say my most embarrassing moment was when I was playing basketball in 5th grade and I scored on the opponent's basket and we lost the game by 2.

What is your favorite part of practice?

I would say my favorite part of practice is our inside run section. I’ve always had a love for run games and run blocking, so inside runs allow me to work on my blocking and technique.

What was the best athlete you played against?

The best athlete I played against was Henry Byford. He was on my team, but he was the reason I knew all I knew, and getting pancakeed by him during practice led me to figure out how to fix my technique.

Do you think private schools have an unfair advantage over public schools?

I would say no, because whether you were recruited to play for a high school or not, game is game; it all just depends on the player.

What is the worst type of weather to play in as a lineman?

I would say rainy weather, especially if you're in the center, because you have to snap a soaked football, and it's really hard to adjust to that rain.

What is the strongest part of your game?

The strongest part of my game is my pass protection. I feel like I have a lot of pass-blocking moves in my bag to get the defender to the ground.

What are you doing during the off-season to become a better player?

Working on steps and technique, but most importantly, getting in the weight room.

What is your go-to snack?

I would say my go-to snack is cottage cheese and strawberries; they are high in protein and low in fat and sugar.

Who are your role models?

My role models are Landon Dickerson and Joe Alt; I just love the aspects of their games.

If you could live in any other time in history, what would it be and why?

I would say the 2000s because, in my opinion, football competition was at an all-time high, and the athletes in the era were just different.
