Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
I think a moment that sticks out is more of the entire season—how even through all of the ups and downs, we had a large group who prayed before and after games and met after team meals on Thursday, and I think the Lord started a really cool ministry through us to help people to get to know Jesus.
What are you going to miss the most from the 2025 class?
I think the part is the mentors I had from this class, and they helped me become a better player and person.
What makes you a good teammate?
My football career over the past two years has been incredibly unpredictable, and the knowledge I possess now is crazy compared to my freshman year. I’ve been in the same positions as all my teammates, and so I genuinely care about their success and if they need help with something outside football, knowing that I’m there for them.
Is there a pro or college player you try and pattern your game after?
More recently I really liked the way Will Campbell at LSU played, and I always liked the way Trent Williams played.
Who is the best player that you have faced in a game?
To be honest, I’m not too sure, but the OCC has some of the best athletes in the state.
Who is the toughest teammate to square up against during practice?
For me, I think it is Kwame Bosley. He is a future D1 stud, and he has definitely helped me get better as a lineman.
What is your favorite drill to do during practice?
Personally, I think it’s 1 on 1. It's a way to compete, but at the same time it shows you stuff you can work on that you might not see in a non-live drill.
Looking at just the other two schools in Dublin, which one of the two do you want to defeat more? Explain.
Coffman for sure. Growing up in the Jerome area, no matter what, the Jerome-Coffman game is always one of the best games, and the atmosphere is unmatched, and now I have been able to play against it, which is one of the most fun.
What is the strongest part of your game?
I think the strongest part is my pass blocking.
What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Jerome High School?
The best part of being a student athlete at Jerome is having one of the best high school educations and great coaches who know what it takes to get to the next level and win.
What was the biggest lesson you learned last year during the season that you will use to be a better player this year?
The biggest lesson I learned was being patient. Whether it was with football or with off-the-field stuff. At the end of the day, God has a plan for us, and we have to trust in it even when it’s hard.
What are you telling that first-year starter right before you head to the field on opening night?
I would tell them that you’re going to be nervous, but you’ve got to have fun and remember why you play football. I would tell them what I tell myself: “Screw it, we ball.” It’s something one of our freshman coaches said, and it’s stuck with me ever since.
Who has the best burger in Dublin?
I'm not a huge burger guy, but if I had to say one place, it would be Kitchen Social.
Have you gone to the Columbus Zoo?
When I was younger, my mom and I used to go there all the time, especially during the summer. My favorite animal is the giraffe.
Have you watched any of the spring football games from the UFL?
I have not really gotten to watch a lot because of baseball and football training, but I have seen some highlights.
