My first sack of the year against University School was a really big moment for me. I was the new guy. I felt like it solidified my spot as a member of the team.

What are your goals for the season?

My goals for the season are to double my stats and to make it to states with my team.

What will it take for East to not only win the city but win a playoff game or two this year?

I think it's going to take a lot of grit and hard work, but I know we can pull through.

Are you approaching things differently this season than you have in past seasons, with this being your final high school season?

I’m most definitely approaching this season differently. With this being my last high school season, I’ve got to end it on a good note.

Who's the toughest teammate to square off against during practice?

The toughest teammate I’ve had to square off against is Darshawn Spragling. With Darshawn and me being the biggest on the team, it's always a competition.

What's the toughest part of the first day of practice?

The toughest part of the first day of practice is breaking in the helmet.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Akron East High School?

The best part about being a student-athlete at Akron East High School is the community. Everyone is pushing you to get better and congratulating you when the hard work pays off.

What is the best part of being on the defensive line?

The best part of being on the defensive line is messing up an entire offense.

What is the toughest part of being on the defensive line?

The toughest part of being on the defensive line is actually just being on the defensive line since the line is where the real battles are won.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he played for?

The best player I’ve faced is Creighton Tyler from Hoban.

What has been your biggest accomplishment as a football player?

My biggest accomplishment as a football player was seeing the hard work pay off and getting 5 offers in one day.

After the season is over, will you play in any of the all-star games if you earn an invite?

I will absolutely be playing in an all-star game if I receive an invite.

Would you share with the readers some of the colleges you are hearing from?

I've been offered by YSU, Presbyterian, Howard, Ashland, Central State, and Gannon. I'm currently hearing from Bowling Green, Duquesne, and Rutgers.

Where is your dream vacation spot?

My dream vacation spot is Kyoto, Japan.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite subject is art. I've been good at drawing ever since I was little.

What is a food that you enjoy that most others do not?

Fries with mayonnaise.
