What do you think it will take for the Briggs to turn things around?
A lot of grit and people that love the game and will work hard and never give up and people that strive for greatness.
What are your personal goals for the season?
My personal goals this season are 5 picks, a touchdown each game, and 80 total tackles.
What goals are you setting for the team?
To make it to the playoffs
What has been your biggest moment as a high school football player?
I would say when I scored my first touchdown my freshman year against Franklin Heights
Cornerback or wide receiver, which of those positions that you are listed as playing do you feel you are better at?
I feel like I’m better at cornerback for sure.
What was the toughest part of the 2024 season?
It would definitely be when we played Independence, and it was a good, close game. Even though we came up short, we still did a great job.
What did you learn about yourself during the 2024 season that you can use to be a better player?
Be consistent with your goal, and God will lead you to success.
What is the strength of your game?
I would say my ball skills are very good. I am very good at tracking the ball and attacking it, making it difficult for the receiver to catch it.
Would you share with the readers some of the camps that you have attended, along with the biggest lessons you are learning at the camps?
That it’s okay to ask questions to get better and learn and take whatever the coach is teaching you. And you don’t have to do every drill so fast that you’re overthinking it. Try to be as smooth and comfortable as possible.
What makes you a good teammate?
I encourage everyone on my team to push themselves for every cone drill and every workout to give 100 percent and not give up and to keep their heads up when times get tough.
What's the best part of being a student-athlete at Briggs?
That we can all talk to each other and pick each other up when we make a mistake and help them get better at what ever they're having mistakes on and encourage them to keep going.
If you are asked to play in any of the all-star games after the season, will you?
Yes, that would be a blessing.
What is your favorite class or subject?
History
Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?
Outside of sports, I like to cook, go to festivals and carnivals, and hang out with my friends.
What is your favorite energy drink?
I never had an energy drink before, lol.
