Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
9-2 LCL Cardinal Champions. First state playoffs appearance since 2020. Played with a great class of seniors who did a great job leading the team.
How would you describe your running style?
I would definitely say Mike Alstott. I like to run hard and shrug defenders off like he did. He’s definitely someone whom I want to be like on the field.
What are your personal goals for the season?
Help lead my team to another successful season and reach state playoffs once again.
Reach 1,000 yards and at minimum beat the 11 touchdowns I had last season.
What goals are you setting for your team?
Reach state playoffs once again and make a deep run and be LCL Cardinal champions again.
What is the worst weather to play in?
As a ball carrier, definitely the rain because it can make you lose grip of the ball.
Which type of weather do you prefer to play in?
Extremely hot temperatures because of how much we are used to the heat, and it gives us an advantage against our opponents.
How have you grown as a player from last season to right now?
I am pushing myself in the weight room, trying to get better every single day. Having growth in the weight room will help me better perform on Friday nights.
What is the toughest part of practice?
Team offense. If we don’t get the play right, we have to do the play till we get it perfect.
What type of defense do you like to face the best as a back?
4-2-5
Do you feel that you and your teammates are role models to the younger kids who come and root for you?
Yes, I really do. We get involved in our community a lot with parades and helping out our local church. We also hold youth camps for the young players every year.
What has been your biggest moment as a football player?
Definitely week 5 of last year's season against Watkins Memorial. It was 4th and 3, and I went into play running back with a chance to seal the game and let the clock expire. I got the hand off and ran for a 10-yard gain, sealing the game.
Which win has meant the most to you?
Definitely that Watkins win because we hadn’t beat them in so long and because I was able to help my team when they needed me the most.
Which loss has stung the most?
I did not play in this game, but I experienced every moment of it. Our huge rival, Northridge, in 2021, we lost by 3 points, breaking, I believe, a 16-year win streak. I still have the ticket from that game.
Where is the best local spot to grab a meal?
It has to be Subway or Villa Pizza, and they are both right by each other.
Have you been to a Denison football game?
Yes, when I was younger, probably around 4th or 5th grade.
What scares you?
The Lord
Losing my family
