Awards won or earned:The only personal award I have from Football is a freshman MVP plaque.
Post a small recap of last season with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
Looking back on the season, I have nothing but good memories. One of my biggest highlights was when I scored a 72-yard touchdown on Grove City. Another good memory I have is winning the OCC championship against Pickering North and running out onto the field with my team to take pictures. But overall, it was a great season, and I’m excited for what’s next to come.
How long have you played football, and who or what got you started playing?
I’ve been playing football since the 5th grade. I started playing because I was kind of big for soccer and definitely too physical, so my dad thought it would be a good idea to try football.
What is the strongest part of your game?
The strongest part of my game is probably my vision; it allows me to create explosive plays and pick up good yardage.
What part of your game do you need to improve on the most?
My pass blocking is something that I’ve been wanting to improve and perfect.
What have you done during the off-season to help you become a better player?
I have been working with my personal trainer to help me be more explosive and agile.
What is the worst part of the first day of practice?
Trying to get back into the groove of practice can be difficult sometimes.
What is the toughest part of being a running back?
The physicality. If you aren’t physically prepared at running back a lot of the time, you will end up with an injury of some sort.
What is the best part of being a running back?
Being able to help my team. Whether it's running for a first down or blocking so your quarterback can throw a game-winning touchdown, you're always part of the play.
How are you getting over a bad game?
I usually get good rest and come in to recovery lifting and film with a mindset of “What can I do to help make me and my teammates better?”
What are you looking forward to the most this season?
Team meal! I enjoy getting to spend time with my team and eat delicious food.
Which teammate is most likely to get mad if things are not going the way they should during practice?
I think that would probably be Luke Collins. He’s a leader on our team and tries his best to keep our team in order.
What is the worst weather for you to play in?
I think cold weather is difficult to play in because taking hits is a lot more taxing on the body when it’s cooler vs. it being warm.
What is your favorite play to have called?
Any run play. I love to have the ball in my hands.
What song gets you fired up the most right before you take the field?
Mo Bamba by Sheck Wes
Who are your favorite and least favorite NFL teams?
My favorite has to be the Browns, and my least favorite is probably the Chiefs.
Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?
I like to play pickle ball and spend time with friends and family.
