Some memories I had from last season were getting our revenge on Greenfield because they beat us the season before, so it was really nice to get that win to send the seniors off.

My goal this year is to get 1st team all FAC and all district.

What will it take for the Indians to get over the hump and finish above .500 this season?

If we want to get over that .500 mark, we’re going to have to beat Western Brown in week 1 and use that momentum into the next 4 non-conference games and win those and start the season off 5-0. The last two years we started off hot against Western Brown, and towards the 4th quarter we got tired and they came back to beat us. This offseason we’ve been conditioning hard and getting ready for that week 1 matchup against Western Brown because we know they’re going to have 60+ guys, and we only have 25-30 kids, so we’re going to have to be ready.

What is the worst part of the first day of practice?

The worst part of the first practice has got to be the heat, especially in full pads.

What is the best part of the first day of practice?

The best part of the first practice is when we team up and think about how fun that week 1 game is going to be and how close it is getting.

How is the powerlifting going?

I have been working out a lot, mostly focusing on losing weight and trying to get more in shape. So I haven’t been powerlifting as much this year.

Who is the toughest teammate to square up against during practice?

The toughest teammate to face up against has got to be Landon Jordan. He always gives good reps in practice and makes me better.

As a lineman, if the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense? Explain

I would want to be on defense if the game is on the line. This year we’ve changed our defense to a 4-3 instead of the 6-1 we ran last year. I trust our secondary a lot more this year, and I trust we could win the game on defense.

Who is the best player that you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?

The best players I’ve played have got to be Ryan Seimetz from Jackson and Kade Woods from Portsmouth West.

With this being your final high school season, are you approaching things any differently? Explain

With this being my last season, I have just been taking things more seriously and working harder. This is the last time I’m going to play high school football with my brothers, so I’ve been trying to make the most out of this season.

What mark do you believe the 2025 class left on the football program?

The 2025 seniors left a great impression of character and leadership. My class has played with those guys since youth football, and the bonds we made were very special, and my class and I are going to carry on those impressions and bonds this season.

Who is the one teammate that is liable to go off if the team is having a bad practice?

Zack Brown is a teammate who is a leader and will hold everyone accountable if they’re slacking or if we’re having a bad practice.

What are the first words out of the coach's mouth? If you screw up at practice?

Usually the first words out of his mouth are going to be correcting me on what I did wrong or saying to lock in.

After the season is over, if you earn an invite to any of the all-star games, will you play?

I would definitely play if I got an invite to an all-star game after the season.

What is the last book that you read, along with the author?

Holes by Louis Sachar

What is your favorite sports movie or TV show?

My favorite sports TV show has got to be All American. It has a lot of valuable lessons in it, and at times it can be corny to watch, but I enjoy it.

Who are your role models?

My role model has to be my mom. She is hardworking all the time and is a very good inspiration to me. I look up to her every day, and I try to be like her.
