Post a small recap of last season.
with personal highlights and any other big moments you have and/or memories you have from last season, whether it be a game, the bus ride to or from the game, or any other thing that sticks out.
Last season, we had a great year. We went 9-1 in the regular season and won the Big 7 Conference. One of the best games was when we beat Laurel to win the section title. We made the playoffs but lost in the first round to Jeannette.
How have you grown as a player from last season to now?
I’ve gained 10 pounds of muscle and have become more of a student of the game.
What is your game day routine?
I wake up, get ready for school, and make sure to eat a good lunch and dinner. Then I go to Sheetz to get a snack before the game and chill in the locker room an hour before pregame to get the nerves out and listen to music.
Can the band, fans, and cheerleaders get you fired up before and during the game?
Not really, but the pre-game speech by Coach Bongivengo really fires me up.
If you could take any game from your schedule and move it to any stadium in the nation, which game are you moving? And where are you playing the game?
Our first non-section game is vs. Mohawk — and I would move it to Acrisure Stadium.
How did your baseball season go?
The baseball season went pretty well. We earned the #1 seed in the playoffs but ended up losing in the second round to the eventual WPIAL champions.
Which sport do you feel you are better at, football or baseball?
I feel I am equally good at both sports. I believe I can go far in either one.
What has been your biggest moment in each sport?
My biggest moment in football had to be our game against Laurel for the section championship. I feel it really showed the kind of player I am.
My biggest moment in baseball was hitting a walk-off grand slam in Myrtle Beach to win the game.
With this being your final high school football season, are you preparing any differently than you have in the past? Explain.
I’m working much harder in the weight room and on the field. I’m also trying to be a leader and role model for the team.
Which teammate is most likely to get vocal when things are not going well at practice?
Jino Mozzocio, our team’s quarterback.
Who is the best player you have faced in a game, along with the team he was on?
Kymone Brown — Jeannette Jayhawks
Running back or safety — which one are you better at?
I feel that I’m good on both sides of the ball and can make big plays at any time.
After the season, if you get an invite to play in any of the all-star games, will you?
Yes.
Who are your favorite and least favorite NFL teams?
My favorite is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
My least favorite is the Cleveland Browns.
What is your favorite class or subject?
U.S. History
Outside of sports, what are you doing for fun?
I like to hang out with my friends and family.
